Have your say to help make Conwy County an age friendly community

8 Interconnected Domains of Urban Life
Conwy County Borough Council, in partnership with Age Connects and all members of the Age Friendly Stakeholder Network, is working towards official recognition by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an age friendly county.
The WHO’s ‘Age-Friendly Cities Framework’ is a global initiative designed to help communities remove barriers and improve quality of life for the ageing population. This work supports the Welsh Government’s ‘Age Friendly Wales’ strategy and is backed by the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales.
Age friendly communities support people to live healthy, active, connected lives at every age. They create opportunities for individuals to stay informed and socially engaged, feel valued and respected, maintain independence, and have their voices heard.
Conwy County Borough Council is inviting residents to complete a survey to help shape the future of healthy ageing in Conwy County. Your feedback will support the Council’s application to become a WHO age friendly registered community.
Councillor Mandy Hawkins, Conwy’s Age Friendly Champion, said: “Everyone’s voice matters. We encourage people of all ages to share their views, experiences, and ideas so we can build a community where everyone has the opportunity to age well.”
“This initiative relies on residents, organisations, and businesses working together to make it easier for everyone to thrive as they grow older.”
