How to Apply
An application for a gaming machine Permit may only be made by the Holders of Premises Licences issued under the Licensing Act 2003. The Premises Licence must authorise the sale of alcohol on the premises.
The application must be accompanied by: the prescribed fee the prescribed documents.

Eligibility
Legislation and Conditions Gambling Act 2005
Processing and Timescales The authority may grant or refuse an application. In granting the application, the authority may vary the number and category of gaming machines authorised by the permit.
Appeal/Redress mechanisms: The applicant may appeal to the magistrates' court against an authority's decision not to issue a permit. The holder can also appeal against a decision to cancel a permit.
