Most privately let property must have energy performance certificate rating of E or above.

Some property can be exempt from this standard for a range of reasons. Guidance on this can be found here:

Landlords who create tenancies for non-exempted, F or G rated properties can be fined. After 1st April 2020, it will be unlawful for landlords to continue to let F or G rated properties.

  • Eco-flex – for information about eco flex on the Councils webpage.
  • NEST – to find out about the NEST scheme on their website.
