The principles of the Act are:
Voice and control
Putting you and your needs, at the centre of your care, and giving you a voice in, and control over reaching the outcomes that help you achieve well-being.
Prevention and early intervention
Increasing preventative services within the community to help you earlier, and reduce the need for services in the future.
Supporting you to achieve your own well-being, and measuring the success of any care and support provided to you.
Encouraging you to be as involved as you want to be in the design and delivery of services provided to you.
