Course details:

Understanding the needs of children and young people who have experienced early trauma is crucial to their success. Without this knowledge many children struggle to settle, to feel safe enough to be able to take risks and to trust those around them enough to be able to achieve and develop well.

Sometimes we need to take a step back and reflect on our child’s early experiences and what impact that may have now on their behaviour in all situations – whether at school or at home.

There are videos and resources available throughout this online course that will give you the fundamentals of Attachment Theory along with strategies to help and support those children and young people you care for. If you have previously attended training on attachment and trauma, please use this resource as a refresher.

This resource produced by Braveheart Training takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete.

To receive log in details please contact sc.training@conwy.gov.uk

Please do not turn up to any course unless you have received notification of your place as the event may be fully booked.
