Introduction to Safer Caring in Foster Care

Course aims and objectives:

Aim:

The foster / connected persons carer will be able to identify ways to keep children and young people safe from harm while also considering their own safety and security and that of their immediate and extended family.

Learning Objectives:

• To consider what safer caring looks like
• To understand how to identify and manage risks
• To know how to plan safer caring now and in the future
• To put plans in place to reduce the risk of false allegations
